Ian Munsick

Born in Sheridan, Wyoming, on May 6, 1993, country artist Ian Munsick was raised by a musical father who encouraged his three sons to form a family band. The sibling agreed, forming The Munsick Boys during their teenage years and playing a mix of bluegrass, western swing, and classic pop. He later moved to Nashville at 18 years old and studied music at Belmont University, only to find that the city's music seemed to lack the western textures he'd grown accustomed to back home. Inspired to bring the Rocky Mountain sound to Nashville, he released his self-titled debut EP in 2017 and won iHeartRadio's "Rocky Mountain Song of the Year" with his single "Horses After Faster." His career snowballed from there, with Munsick signing a record deal with Warner Music Nashville, creating a viral buzz with well-received covers of songs by Fleetwood Mac and Britney Spears, and working his way toward a full-length debut album. The resulting record, Coyote Cry, was released in 2021. Preceded by singles like "Long Haul," which peaked at Number 52 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart, and "Long Live Cowgirls," which found him duetting with touring partner Cody Johnson, Coyote Cry became one of the year's most critically-acclaimed releases.
