Coi Leray

Born in Boston, Massachusetts, on May 11, 1997, Coi Leray is a platinum-selling American rapper who scored a pair of Top 40 hip-hop hits with 2021's "No More Parties" and "Big Purr (Prrdd)." Raised as "Coi Leray Collins" by a family that included her father — rapper and magazine owner Ray Benzino — she dropped her surname in 2011, the same year she began releasing her homemade recordings on the internet. Her debut mixtape, Everythingcoz, was independent released in 2018, as well as the breakthrough single "Huddy." A second mixtape, EC2, followed in 2019 and marked Coi Leray's first release for Republic Records. After releasing the EP Now or Never in 2020, she kicked off 2021 with the single "No More Parties," which went viral on various video-sharing platforms and peaked at Number 26 on the Billboard 200. "No More Parties" went platinum, with a remix featuring Lil Durk following later that year. "Big Purr (Prrdd)," a collaboration with gangsta rap artist Pooh Shiesty, was also released in 2021 and became her second mainstream hit, peaking at Number 32 on the US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and going gold. A popular artist on social media as well as the Billboard charts, Coi Leray went viral once again with 2021's "Twinnem," whose remix featured DaBaby. One year later, she earned her first Top 10 hit on the Hot 100 with "Players," which reached number 9 and was certified platinum. The song appeared on her 2023 album Coi, which hit number 102 on the Billboard 200.
