After being criticized for not having any Black men on his 'Montero' album, Lil Nas X teases a possible collaboration with Kid Cudi.
September 2, 2021 LNX was called out for not having any Black men on his debut LP. Yesterday, Lil Nas X revealed the official tracklist for his upcoming Montero album His debut studio LP will feature Doja Cat, Megan Thee Stallion, Jack Harlow, Elton John, and Miley Cyrus. While Montero will include those five celebrated stars, Lil Nas X was criticized for the names that did not appear on the tracklist. In particular, someone pointed out that there are no other Black men on the project. Lil Nas Xs album has no Black male guest lol. Just women & white men. No agenda tho, posted one Twitter user. LNX responded, Maybe a lot of them just dont wanna work with me. That response from Lil Nas X caught the attention of a Black, male artist. Kid Cudi quote-tweeted LNX and stated that he is open to collaborating with the 22-year-old hitmaker. Kid Cudi has been a prominent figure in Hip Hop for over a decade. The Cleveland-bred rhymer released the Man on the Moon III: The Chosen album last December.
