The Weeknd announce a million dollar donation to Ethiopia over the weekend amid the government conflict in the Tigray region.

The Weeknd is feeling charitable once again. This time, the Blinding Lights singer is giving back to his homeland of Ethiopia. On Sunday (April 4), Weeknd announced he was donating $1 million in food aid amid Ethiopias government conflict currently taking place in Addis Ababa and the Tigray region My heart breaks for my people of Ethiopia as innocent civilians ranging from small children to the elderly are being senselessly murdered and entire villages are being displaced out of fear and destruction, he wrote.
