The summer Olympics are about to get a lot more interesting. Following his colorful commentary from the 2021 Tokyo Olympics on Peacock, Snoop Dogg is joining NBCUniversal’s coverage of the 2024 Summer Games, taking place in Paris. The rapper will be providing reports for the Olympics primetime show beginning July 26 on NBC and Peacock. The announcement was made Sunday night during halftime of Sunday Night Football ’s coverage of the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings. During halftime of SNF , viewers got a taste of Snoop’s unique take on sports, in a promotional video for the Summer Games along with U.S. Olympians Suni Lee (gymnastics), A’ja Wilson (basketball), Jagger Eaton (skateboarder), and Kelly Cheng and Sara Hughes (beach volleyball). Throughout the Games, Snoop will give insight into what’s happening on the ground in Paris. He will explore iconic landmarks, attend Olympic events and speak to the athletes, their friends and families. “I grew up watching the Olympics and am thrilled to see the incredible athletes bring their A-game to Paris. It’s a celebration of skill, dedication and the pursuit of greatness,” Snoop said in a statement. “We’re going to have some amazing competitions and, of course, I will be bringing that Snoop style to the mix.
