On Saturday (June 4), Lizzo evidently had enough and addressed men who use her stage name as an insult to other women.

August 16, 2021 Sometimes I feel like the world just dont love me back, she said in part. Its like it doesnt matter how much positive energy you put into the world, youre still going to have people who have something mean to say about you. And for the most part it doesnt hurt my feelings; I dont care. I just think when Im working this hard, my tolerance gets lower. My patience is lower. Im more sensitive and it gets to me. While Lizzo didnt specify exactly what the messages said, she did note, Im not even going to say them, to give them power. She added, People saying shit about me that just doesnt even make sense. Its fat-phobic, and its racist and its hurtful. If you dont like my music, cool. If you dont like Rumors the song, cool. But a lot of people dont like me because of the way I look. But Lizzo is too busy succeeding to be down for long. Shes expected to hit the road this fall with Latto in support of her forthcoming album Special. The tour kicks off in Florida on September 23 and will make stops in New York City, Philadelphia, Boston, Chicago, Indianapolis, Detroit, Houston, Dallas and many more before wrapping up in Los Angeles at The Forum on November 18.
