Lil Durk is going back to his origins for his upcoming album release. The Chicago rapper is promising to bring fans back to where it all started: at 72
Share The rapper shared a picture on social media to update fans on the status of his new project. In the photo, Durk is standing in front of a door in a dark hallway holding a blue fitted cap inscribed with 7220 the address to his grandmothers house in Chicago. In the caption, Durk confirms that his album is done. Durk was mostly raised by his grandmother as his mother worked long hours and his father was incarcerated. The album will undoubtedly touch on his life growing up in the South Side of Chicago, in Englewood, a city mostly known for its gun violence. In 2015, Durk spoke with the Chicago Tribune about the gun violenceplaguing the community saying Man, that could be my baby. The album, titled 7220, doesnt have a release date yet, but fans will be able to catch him on tourstarting in the spring. Read more
