One of the men authorities believe is responsible for the 2002 murder of Jam Master Jay is the same person accused of killing 2Pac affiliate Stretch.

It was important to us then and it remains extremely to us now to bring justice to the victim, his family and his friends and the community that cared so much about those events. Jam Master Jay was reportedly killed over $1.7 million worth of cocaine. As ACB7 News reported, he was planning to exclude Washington from a large multi-state drug deal, so Washington and Jordan conspired to carry out the murder. While inside the studio on that fateful day, Washington allegedly pointed his firearm at another person inside 24/7 Studio and ordered them to lay on the floor. Jordan then allegedly approached JMJ, aimed his weapon at him and fired two shots at close range, striking him once in the head. He was just 37. The trial was originally scheduled for September but due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it was pushed to February 2023. The trial is expected to last two weeks. As for Stretch, he joined 2Pacs group Thug Life in the 1990s. The 27-year-old rapper/producer who also appeared as an extra in the 1992 film Juice starring Tupac Shakur was shot and killed on November 30, 1995, exactly one year after the duo broke up. As to what led to their breakup, 2Pac accused Stretch of not riding for him when he was shot while going to meet Jimmy Henchman. As he explained to The Source in 1996, Stretch was my closest dog, my closest homie. I did a lot of drama, I got into a lot of cases and shit because of Stretch. Money-wise, he couldve had anything. His daughter was my daughter; whatever she wanted she could have. Then this shit happened and the n-gga didnt ride for me. He didnt do what your dog is supposed to do when you shot up. When I was in jail, n-gga never wrote me, never got at me. His homeboys was coming to see me and he wasnt coming to see me. And he started hanging around Biggie right after this. Im in jail, shot up, his main dog, and he hanging out going to shows with Biggie. Both these n-ggas never came to see me. 2Pac, of course, was murdered just months later in September 1996 at the age of 25. His murder remains technically unsolved.
