this morning. This is the first time we see Gunna, real name, Sergio Kitchens, open up about the situation. In the statement, Kitchens speaks on the injustice Black men in America face. He said: As a black man in America it seems as though my art is only acceptable when Im a source of entertainment for the masses. My art is not allowed to standalone as entertainment Im not allowed that freedom as a black man in America. It is a sad reality that slavery is still alive in America today its still affecting my people. In 12 states more than half of the prison population is black one of the states is Georgia. The Pushin P artist denied all accusations despite being denied bond during his court hearing. For now, I dont have my freedom. But I am innocent. I am being falsely accused and will never stop fighting to clear my name. He posted the two-page letter with the caption reading: 22 & 2, just a bed & a shower, no windows just walls. Cant see or talk to anyone. Im writing now & still praying everyday . I was raised to fight fire with water, even tho my countrys amendments have failed me! PROTECT BLACK ART! The term Protect Black Art follows closely after Kevin Lilesmost recent campaigninspired by the trial with YSL. Liles launched a petition against using rap lyrics as evidence in a court of law.
