Fans Throw Bottles At Rolling Loud Stage After Lil Durk No Shows

The New York festival has been a good and bad thing for Hip Hop acts over recent years, including being the scene for Fetty Wap's arrest on federal drug charges on Thursday.

October 30, 2021 The festival, in particular its New York event, has become fodder for incidents involving Hip Hop stars in recent years. In 2019, Pop Smoke Casanovaand others were asked to be removed from the lineupdue to their association with violence in the city. The New York Police Department sent Rolling Loud a letter mentioning Pop, Casanova, Sheff G, Don Q and 22GZ, stating their performances would increase violence due to their alleged gang affiliations. The above listed performers have been affiliated with recent acts of violence citywide, the letter read in part. The New York City Police Department believes if these individuals are allowed to perform, there will be a higher risk of violence. I look forward to working with you in an effort to keep this event safe. Rolling Loud New York wrapped up on Saturday (October 30).
