June 9, 2021 Drake is investing his money into a brand new concert venue in his hometown of Toronto. Hip-Hop superstar Drake has teamed up with Live Nation Canada officials to launch an intimate new concert venue in his Toronto hometown. The Gods Plan hitmaker has helped to develop History, a 2,500-capacity event space which aims to play host to 200 concerts a year and offer music fans a more up close and personal experience with their favorite acts. I wanted to take those memories and what I learned to create an incredible experience for both the artists and the fans. Live Nation Entertainment President and CEO Michael Rapino says: We saw an opportunity to bring Toronto a great new venue, and we have so much gratitude and respect for Drake teaming up with us to bring it to life in the best way possible. And Live Nation Canada Chairman Riley OConnor adds, History will offer guests up-close experiences with their favorite artists that are unrivaled in Toronto. We take pride in and expect History to become an important part of the community.
