Missy Elliott was not only honored with her own Hollywood Walk of Fame star, but she watched on with teary eyes as some of her peers paid tribute to her in a video montage.
Variety , an afterparty for Missy Elliott was held at the Ardor at The West Hollywood Edition hotel on Monday afternoon. The intimate yet star-studded gathering was attended by around 50 guests, including LL COOL J, Janelle Mone, Lizzo, Ciara, MC Lyte, CeCe Peniston, JoJo and Cheryl Salt James (from the seminal female rap duo Salt-N-Pepa). Even more of Missys peers showed up in a video montage played during the party, in which Busta Rhymes, Queen Latifah, Janet Jackson, Teyana Taylor, Brandy, Da Brat and Timbaland paid tribute to the Virginia-bred virtuoso. Elliott shared the video on Instagram on Tuesday (November 9) along with a caption that read, My heart is still so filled over 24 hours later from the love you all have shown me from the fans/Friends/ to my peers/bloggers and magazines it still feel like a dream.
