While reacting to the news that her much-anticipated movie took over the box office this weekend, the superstar, 42, gushed that she is 'so deeply thankful to AMC and every team member who worked so hard on this film.' 'I just can’t thank all of you enough for your support. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done because of the short turn around time,' she captioned a video, featuring footage from the film's multiple premieres, attended by Taylor Swift , Blake Lively , Lizzo Kris Jenner and various other A-listers. In order to get the movie to the public on such a tight deadline, the Destiny's Child alum confessed that she 'practically slept in the edit, color, and mix sessions.' Renaissance opened exclusively in AMC Theatres, the chain's second concert film this year after Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour, which took in $178.8 million domestic and $249.5 million worldwide. Renaissance - which Beyonce wrote and directed (with James B. Merryman and Mark Ritchie directing the live segments - opened in 2,539 theaters. It earned an impressive $8,270 per-screen average. Beyonce's film ended the two-week reign of The Hunger Games prequel The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, which dipped 50.1% with $14.5 million, with $121.2 million domestic overall.
