Share The Oscars announced their nominees on Tuesday in a ceremony hosted by comedian Leslie Jones. Beyonc snagged her first-ever Oscar nomination in the Best Original Song category for Be Alive, which she wrote with singer, songwriter, and producer Darius Scott musically known as DIXSON. The song is featured in the movie, King Richard, starring Will Smith, who is also a Best Actor Nominee. The movie received six nominations in total. Beys husband, mogul, and rap icon Jay-Z made the shortlist for the Oscars with Guns Go Bang, from the movie The Harder They Fall. Fans were hoping for the always groundbreaking couple to bring excitement to the awards show as the first husband-wife Best Song matchup Unfortunately, Jay did not make the final Oscar nominations. Last year, Beyonc broke the record for being the first singer to have the most Grammy wins ever male-or-female with a total of 28 awards. The Academy Awards is set to take place on Sunday, March 2, 2022.
