The sole adult suspect charged, Corey Walker, stated that his only intention was to get Pop Smokes luxury watch and did not share the shooters intention to kill. He said he instead directed the shooter to smash a vase over Pop Smokes head. Walker has escaped the death penalty but could still face a maximum of life in prison without the possibility of parole if convicted. Rising star Pop Smoke was shot and killed in a botched home invasion in Hollywood in February 2020 at the age of 20. Pop Smokes accused killer, Corey Walker appeared in court yesterday. Corey Walkers lawyer filed a motion to dismiss his murder and robbery charges. His lawyer claims his client did not want to harm him, but only assault him with a flower vase to strip & rob him.
